Ideas for Staying In On Rainy Nights

1. Grab your favourite take-out

Instead of dressing up and heading outside in the wet weather for dinner, why not pick up your favourite take-out and dine at home instead. A warming curry or some spicy mexican will be sure to please the whole family. See what food option takes your fancy, find what's on offer here: Stores

2. Run a bath with essential oils

For a relaxing end to the day, run a bath and add a few drops of your favourite essential oil. Lavender, chamomile and ylang ylang all have calming effects, to help you relax. To ensure the essential oils diffuse in the water, be sure to mix them with a carrier oil (such as olive oil or coconut oil) first. We recommend 1 tablespoon of your chosen carrier oil for every 15 drops of essential oil. The Body Shop have a great selection of essential oils to choose from.

3. Enjoy a face mask

The cold air combined with indoor heating can be detrimental to your skin. Take the time to give your skin some extra TLC by applying your favourite face mask. Your skin will thank you for it the next day! Farmers and Life Pharmacy have some delicious face masks to try.

4. Snuggle up in some flannelette pyjamas or a cosy robe

A pair of flannelette pyjamas and fluffy socks, will be sure to keep you warm and cosy on cold, rainy evenings. Cotton On Body and Farmers have plenty of pyjamas in various prints and patterns, with styles for the whole family.

5. Tea and a good book or movie

Pour yourself a cup of tea (or hot chocolate) and snuggle up with a good book or movie. From non-fiction to fantasy, immerse yourself in some of this season's best sellers such as Normal People by Sally Rooney or The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams. Find the next best seller at Whitcoulls.
